Before becoming a licensed Realtor 22 years ago, I too, was a consumer in the housing world. I remember feeling overwhelmed and often frustrated by the lack on information and misinformation I was given throughout the entire process. After surviving listing appointments, selling and buying a home with a few agents - I decided I wanted to know first hand everything I could about real estate to make the buying or selling process less confusing for anyone else. I'd love to tell you how long I have been helping good people make smart decisions about real estate... but then you might figure out how old I am!! It has been a LONG time... I started when I became a single parent of 2 babies under 3.. It seemed it would give me time to be with them and to have control over my work time.. Well, that part didn't quite work out, but we all learned to roll with it... I am proud to say that my children are both quite successful ( they learned to be responsible by necessity.. as there was no option of helicopter parenting ) My greatest claim to success is that my wonderful daughter: after 5 VERY expensive years at SMU, an advanced degree in accounting, and a successful tenure at PWC, decided to QUIT and got her real estate license and is a broker in Denver CO.
